Child Safety Standards

Burdn has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. This page sets out what is prohibited, how to report it, and how Ekuty LLC responds.

Last updated: October 24, 2026.

Burdn prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. This includes, without exception: • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, text, or other content that depicts, describes, or promotes the sexual abuse or sexualization of a minor. • Grooming, or any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes. • Sexualizing minors in any way, including in written posts, replies, or persona names. • Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate content of a minor. • Trafficking of minors, or soliciting, advertising, or arranging any sexual activity involving a minor. • Sharing links to, or asking for, any of the above. This applies to every Burdn, reply, persona, and report on the Service, and to attempts to use Burdn to contact or locate a minor.
Burdn is intended only for people aged 18 and older, as set out in our Terms of Use. Anyone under 18 is not permitted to use the Service. If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, report it to support@burdn.app.
In the app: open the ••• menu on any Burdn or reply, choose Report, and select "Sexual content involving minors". Reports are sent to Burdn for review and you can also hide the content or block the account behind it straight away. By email: write to support@burdn.app with the subject "Child safety". Describe where the content appeared (for example the persona name, topic, and approximate time). Do not send us copies of the material itself. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. You can also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org, or to the equivalent authority where you live.
Reports of child sexual abuse and exploitation are treated as our highest priority. When we identify CSAE content or behaviour, we: • Remove the content from the Service. • Take the action available to us under our Terms of Use against the accounts involved. • Preserve the relevant information as the law requires. • Report apparent child sexual abuse material to NCMEC's CyberTipline, as US law requires of online service providers (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), and cooperate with law enforcement. We do not notify an account holder before reporting them to the authorities.
Ekuty LLC, the operator of Burdn, is the point of contact for child safety questions and for requests from law enforcement and child-safety organizations. Contact: support@burdn.app (subject "Child safety").
